NUCLEOPROTEINS
Nucleoproteins are complexes, where proteins are bound with nucleic acids by ionic bonds. Deoxyribonucleic proteins and ribonucleic proteins are distinguished, depending on the kind of nucleic acids in its structure.
Deoxyribonucleic proteins are found in cell nuclei, mitochondria. Proteins in the structure of deoxyribonucleic proteins are placed in the grooves of the DNA double helix and stabilized its structure. They also regulate matrix activity.
Ribosomes, viruses, and informosomes consist of ribonucleic proteins.
