MITOCHONDRIAL MATRIX
Mitochondrial matrix is an area, limited with a creasy inner membrane. Besides a great number of various proteins, there are mitochondrial DNA, ribosomes, and tRNA in mitochondrial matrix. From the cytosol mitochondrial matrix receives oxygen, ADP, inorganic phosphate, fatty acids, acetylformic acid, and amino acids. Mitochondrial matrix withdraws ATP molecules, carbonic acid, and water into cytoplasm. The series of reactions known as Krebs cycle takes place in the matrix.
