MITOTIC SPINDLE
Mitotic spindle (cleavage spindle) is formed during the process of division of a eukaryotic cell. It appears as bipolar fibrous structure, which consists mainly of microtubules (spindle fibers). This structure provides chromosome disjunction during mitosis and meiosis. Mitotic spindle is formed during prometaphase and disintegrate in telophase.
