IONS
Ions (from the Greek "ion" - "walking") are electrically charged particles, which are formed as the result of loss or attachment of one or several electrons to atoms or chemically combined atomic groups. The charge of an ion is divisible by the electron charge. Positively charged ions are called cations, negatively charged ones – anions.
