DISSIPATIVE SYSTEM
Dissipative systems are mechanical systems, whose integral energy (which is the sum of kinetic energy and potential energy) decreases during moving and transfers into other kinds of energy, for example, into heat, that is, dissipation of energy happens (from the Latin "dissipatio").
