CHARGE-TRANSFER INTERACTION
A complex with charge transfer can be formed between two molecules in case if one of them can easily give its electron and the other one can easily accept it. Then partial or complete electron transfer takes place between two molecules. As the result of this, the donor of the electron receives a positive charge from the initially neutral molecule, and the acceptor of the electron receives a negative charge. Attraction appears between them, and two molecules become positioned near to each other, and a charge-transfer complex is formed.
