AEROBIC ORGANISM
Aerobic organisms (aerobes) are organisms, which can live and develop only with the availability of free oxygen in the medium. They use the free oxygen as oxidizer. Aerobic organisms include all plants, the most of protozoa and multicellular animals, almost all fungi, i. e., the overwhelming majority of the known species of eukaryotic beings. Aerobic organisms accomplish biological oxidation mainly by means of cell respiration.
